Continual cheerful presence

I'm afraid I don't have grand, specific memories to share of Margaret. Throughout my life, whenever we visited Auntie Janet, Margaret would always be there, or at least that's how I recall it. Playing in the back garden as children, hide and seek in the house, meeting at the park or going to the beach, she would be there, chuckling away and occasionally scolding us if we were too rough. I remember her sitting in the patio area, feet up, drink in hand, fully engaged in conversation and family. Our last few visits, though she was less active, so much of her was still the same- friendly, cheery and with a cup of tea. It didn't matter hugely that she didn't remember me the last time I saw her, she still asked how I was and was still up for a chat. I am so sorry that her gentle and laughing presence has gone.
