Mam’s first job was in a big house i think in Hartlepool where she used to clean, lay fires ( came in very handy in Harrington Road) and generally keep house (ditto). 

Other employment was at GEC and Siemens where she made wiring for telephone exchanges ( still have a pair of pliers she used to make the connections). 

She worked in the ice cream parlour at Pieroni’s in Blackhall Rocks and was a machine operator at Tudor crisps

of course her most important job was our Mam 😍
